South of France Yacht Charter

South of France Yacht Charter
Glamorous, gastronomic, historic – few France charter yacht destinations are as popular as the French Riviera. In the summertime, the Côte d’Azur is home to one of the biggest, most elegant collections of yachts to charter in the world, all there to experience la dolce vita.

French Riviera

While the Cannes Film Festival and the Grand Prix de Monaco start the season off in May with a spectacular, star-studded bang, July and August are considered “high season” on the Riviera. If you are interested in booking one of the newest, most famous or most amenity-laden charter yachts, it’s wise to start at least six months in advance – not only to guarantee the yacht of your choice, but also to secure berths in the most desirable marinas.

Beaches and Boutiques

Ports of call along the French Riviera can include Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Cap Ferrat, Villefranche, and more. Each has its own distinct character, but most offer beaches lined with open-air restaurants, ancient streets, designer boutiques, and trendy discos. You can visit museums and monuments by day and sip Champagne in a club or casino by night. Or you may prefer simply to sunbathe in private on your yacht’s flybridge surrounded by stunning scenes of the Côte d’Azur.

Monaco is the world’s second-smallest nation, after Vatican City, but it is one of yachting’s biggest capitals. This port is home to some of the world’s most impressive megayachts, many of which command the highest weekly charter rates on the market. Even if you are not a celebrity, you will be treated like one as you step from your yacht’s passerelle onto the dock. And if you visit Monte Carlo’s historic casino, you are sure to feel just like James Bond.
