Custom Superyachts or Semi-Custom: the multi-million dollars question.

Many new owners may think that owning a custom-built superyacht will ensure them ultimate cruising experience. Within the superyacht industry custom, or bespoke superyachts are perceived to be the best in class, due on their unique design, exterior and interior finish and technical aspects. However, in reality, the perception that custom yachts are superior or better than semi-custom yachts is not entirely accurate. Semi-custom yachts are usually based off of a production or model series, which means shipyards are able to finetune and perfect everything from the design down to the platform to ensure the best outcome. When it comes to interior and exterior finish of a semi-custom yacht, many are as premium quality as their bespoke counterpart, as it is up to the owner how much they wish to invest in their vessel.

Semi-custom yachts tend to be less expensive, less tailored but a faster way to get out on the water and enjoy your vessel – which is the ultimate experience owners want. When looking for your ideal superyacht, rather than focusing on whether it is a custom, production or semi-custom yacht, one should think about what they would like to get out of their superyacht. Are you looking for a vessel with ample outdoor space, long-range travel or plenty of entertainment and relaxation options? The semi-custom 59.3m Andiamo motor yacht offers it all and more. Designed to provide her owners with the greatest cruising experience, she is one of the many semi-custom yachts currently for sale with FGI Yachts. Built by Italian shipyard Benetti in 2009, her exterior design was created by Stefano Natucci. Previously undergoing an extensive refit in 2017, she has been immaculately maintained and is in pristine condition. Her sophisticated and luxurious interior design, which include Fendi designs with crystal, gold and pearl finishes is the work of Studio Massari.

Over the years, Andiamo has become a popular charter yacht, and she remains well-known on the charter markets due to her numerous amenities and experience-focused design. Able to accommodate up to 12 guests in six staterooms, this includes an extensive master suite with 270-degree viewing and an observation lounge. In addition, she is capable of housing up to 15 crew members, who will look after every guest’s wishes for a seamless experience. Guests can choose from multiple alfresco dining or lounging areas to sit back and relax. Or for those more active, they can take to the water, try out her many toys while enjoying the large beach club complete with sauna. Alternatively, they can get in a good workout in the air-conditioned gym on the sun deck before soaking in the jacuzzi. With a cruising speed of 12.5 knots and a top speed of 16 knots, paired with her long-range distance of 6,142 nautical miles, she is the perfect blend of performance, experience and luxury. Her plush surroundings and amenities will ensure guests thoroughly enjoy their time aboard- whether is it their first or 20th time onboard of a superyacht.
