The Best Yacht Parades

Boat parades are a special part of the holiday tradition (especially in South Florida). We’ve compiled some of the best shows of the season that highlight luxury yacht charters in a unique and beautiful way. As the owner of a yacht, there is no better way to share in the joy of the season than participating in an annual boat parade. Show off your yacht and watch the children in your community aw in delight and fascination.

These are some of our favorite boat parades around the country but be sure to check your local news stations for the best parades in your community.

The Christmas Ship™ Festival

The Argosy Cruises Christmas Ship™ Festival is a ship-to-shore holiday celebration tradition since 1949. Located in Seattle and making more than 30 stops to docks across the Puget Sound, it’s easy for everyone to participate in this annual event.

The lights can be enjoyed three ways: On the lead boat, following the lead boat, or shore viewing. The cruise lasts two to three hours and is guaranteed fun for the entire family.

  • When: Every night through December 23rd from various locations.
  • Cost: $20 to $48 depending on ticket type and age of tick holder.

110th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and Ring of Lights

More than a million people participate in the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, which features decorated boats of all shapes and sizes, including luxury yacht charters, kayaks, and canoes.

You can register your boat as part of the parade or watch the festivities from dry land. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. The start and end of the parade is located at Tip of Lido Isle and participants can watch the show from Marina Park.

Our suggestion? We love the closing night spectacle on Dec. 23 with fireworks. Get there early because parking is limited.

  • When: Ever night through Dec. 23.
  • Cost: $55 to participate and free to watch from land (paid parking for land viewers).

42nd Annual Boca Raton Holiday Boat Parade

Enjoy custom light decorations, food and drinks as you view the 42nd Annual Boca Raton Holiday Boat Parade. The parades has three main viewing areas with food, drink and on-site parking: Red Reef Park (the west end), the Wildflower Property, and Silver Palm Park.

The parade begins on the C-05 Canal and travels to the Hillsboro Bridge, lasting approximately 2 hours. The parade is no longer accepting applications for captain and boat participants, so you’ll have to enjoy the luxury yacht charters from the mainland.

  • When: Saturday, December 22 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Cost: Free
