Originally born and raised in Miami, Florida, Amanda has an extensive background in yachting, hospitality, and the maritime industry. Graduating from Florida International University with a degree in English with a track in Creative Writing, she pursued a career as a chief stewardess, gaining invaluable experience working on motor yachts before making the step to crew consultant. Seamlessly transitioning from working at sea to working on land, her specialization stems from her crew experience, as she pertains expert knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a yacht and what it takes to oversee a successful program. Building connections and relationships with clients throughout the yachting industry, her unique background allows her to understand crew and clients’ needs flawlessly.
Retaining a passion for yachting from a young age, her earliest boating memories are going out on her family boat, a 27′ Mako in Miami on the weekends, where she would watch her father fish before grilling the fresh catch right on the boat. Currently living in Fort Lauderdale, her professional achievements, combined with her fluency in three languages, have ensured her role at FGI. Thrilled to join the team, she is excited to work within a collective group of yachting experts supporting each other and promoting a friendly work environment.
Outside the office, you are likely to find Amanda indulging in her hobbies of reading and writing, longboarding, swimming with her dog and international travel. Her bucket list of yachting locations is the Mediterranean.
