Her Ed Monk Jnr naval architecture produced a hull that is dry and supple for exceptional performance in blue water (and also whisper-quiet at anchor!). – in fact, ‘L V Three’ had previously sailed Tasmania and Nth Queensland after being shipped new to Florida. Wide walk-around decks were a trademark feature of this type, and the ‘L V Three’ has been further optimized to be dog-friendly (including the flybridge area) – we didn’t want man’s best friend to lose out on the fun. Stepping onboard ‘L V Three was accomplished through twin access steps up from the expanded teak lay hi/lo swim platform (making her overall length 83ft at the time) or via a dedicated border ladder that stows on board. The swim platform was furnished with beach umbrellas so that it could function as a beach club for lounging by the water. Her tender could be stowed either on the hi/lo platform (for short crossings) or on the boat deck (for transoceanic voyages).
