FGI Yacht Group announces Don Vogt as latest appointment

FGI Yacht Group has announced the appointment of Don Vogt as Sales & Charter Broker. Having enjoyed tremendous growth over the past year, including extending its footprint into Mexico City, FGI Yacht Group has added numerous members to its rapidly expanding family in recent months, with Don Vogt the latest addition.

Born and raised in Connecticut and now dividing his time between Fort Lauderdale, Florida and the Hawaiian island of Maui, Don Vogt had 15 years of experience as captain of the 34-metre Custom Line superyacht Mambo under his belt before joining the FGI team.

Growing up just a few blocks away from the beach and with small boats in the family, Don spent all of his free time as a child either on the sand or out at sea. Prior to his tenure as a yacht captain, Don found himself gravitating towards jobs around the water, working first as a lifeguard and then as a scuba instructor.

Now bolstered by his 20 years in the yachting industry, Don is an expert on delivering the perfect charter programme. As he explains: “I know exactly what it is to run a charter programme and what the guest expectations can be. It makes me uniquely qualified to help clients choose their charter and deliver a more knowledgeable experience to them.”

Don is excited to join the FGI Yacht Group team: “My experience with FGI has always been one of them being very upfront and honest. They care more about the client and their long term happiness than scoring a quick buck. I love the honesty.”
