Don Vogt

Born and raised in Connecticut and now dividing his time between Fort Lauderdale, Florida and the Hawaiian island of Maui, Don Vogt had 15 years of experience as captain of the 34-metre Custom Line superyacht Mambo under his belt before joining the FGI team as a Sales & Charter Broker in September 2021.

Growing up just a few blocks away from the beach and with small boats in the family, Don spent all of his free time as a child either on the sand or out at sea. Prior to his tenure as a yacht captain, Don found himself gravitating towards jobs around the water, working first as a lifeguard and then as a scuba instructor.

Now bolstered by his 20 years of experience in the yachting industry, Don is an expert on delivering the perfect charter programme. As he explains: “I know exactly what it is to run a charter programme and what the guest expectations can be. It makes me uniquely qualified to help clients choose their charters and deliver a more knowledgeable experience to them.”

Don’s perfect bucket-list yachting adventure would take place in the Bahamas/Exumas, with Alaska following close behind. Outside of yachting, Don works as a scuba instructor and is both a free diving enthusiast and a keen fisher.
