Svalbard Yacht Charter

Unique Yacht Charter Experience

Svalbard Yacht Charter

The ultimate arctic getaway, escape the humdrum of daily life and head to one of the world’s furthest Northern regions. Part of Norway’s magical archipelago, Svalbard is known for its white, dramatic and wild landscapes. Think snow-covered peaks, staggering glaciers and ice fields as far the eye can see, with towering icebergs. It is a place untouched by mankind, with the apparently endless Arctic nights of the winter glistening with the glow of the Northern Lights. In summer, the Midnight Sun’s perpetual glow transports visitors to an unreal world, as the unique wildlife roams free. Ideally explored via water, a charter through Svalbard will leave you with a lifetime of memories.

Longyearbyen
The biggest settlement in Svalbard, Longyearbyen, is also the archipelago’s main administrative hub. Located on Spitsbergen Island’s western border, this former mining town is also home to the only airport in the region. Explore some of the local cafes and stores of this quaint town before heading to your charter yacht and heading off on your arctic adventure. If you’re lucky, you may even see a polar bear or two before setting off!

Spitsbergen
One of the largest islands within Svalbard, take in the breathtaking views of Spitsbergen’s coastline. A raw, untamed and element island, admire its snow-capped peaks and jagged terrain before going to visit one of the most magnificent fjords in the area, Hornsund. Located near the southernmost part of the island, this fjord cuts nearly 25km into the land. Cruise silently along its bays lined with glacial valleys and see how many species of Arctic wildlife you can spot from the deck of your charter yacht.

Bear Island

The most southern island in the Svalbard archipelago, Bjornøya or Bear Island, is a stunning uninhabited island ideal for land adventure and exploration. Home to stunning landscapes ranging from caves and sea cliffs and peaks, take your tender ashore to explore the island up close. Look out for arctic foxes, or polar bears, who tend to visit the island in the winter during the expanding ice mass.

Troms County

One of the least polluted regions of Europe, Troms County is home to an indented, rugged but magnificent coastline. Cruise in between the expansive, mountainous islands and take in the raw nature and wildlife. If you’re up for a nature adventure, take the tender ashore for some mountain hiking, or kayak along the coastline. Or head to the city of Tromsø to learn more about the city and immerse yourself in the local culture.

North Capeq

Also known as the Nordkapp, this high cliff is one of the northernmost points in Europe. Rising 307m above the Arctic Ocean, take in the surreal views before heading ashore to learn more about the Sami people. The only indigenous people in Scandinavia to be recognised and protected under the international convention of indigenous people, they are known to be semi-nomadic reindeer herders.
